Description
Zinc aspartate is a mineral transporter where zinc is bound to the amino acid aspartic acid. Dr. Nieper developed several forms of aspartates including potassium-magnesium aspartate, calcium aspartate and zinc aspartate. Aspartate mineral transporters can penetrate the cell membrane and deliver minerals to the inner layer of the cell membrane. In the process of the aspartic acid being metabolized, the minerals are released on the inner layer of the cell membrane.
Zinc aspartate helps support the body’s antioxidant defenses. The antioxidant properties of aspartate mineral transporters make them important nutrients for the reduction of free radical tissue damage. Zinc replacement with zinc aspartate may be a rational approach to the support of alcoholics by assisting with maintaining zinc in brain and nerve tissue, since the mineral zinc along with magnesium are frequently deficient in alcohol abusers.
Zinc Aspartate is one of Dr. Hans Nieper’s formulas that supports the following systems:
1. Epithelial (skin) System
2. Digestive System
3. Hormonal System
4. Immune System
5. Renal System
6. Sensory System
7. Skeletal System
